One file. Setup installs everything MZForge needs for your Windows account. Check the file · What's new
Open MZForge Setup from your Downloads folder (or from your browser's download list).
This beta isn't code-signed yet, so you may see “Windows protected your PC”. If you got the file from mzforge.com, choose More info, then Run anyway. Not sure? Check the SHA-256 below first, or wait for the Microsoft Store version.
Setup adds MZForge to Start and your Desktop, then opens it. Next, follow Create your first server.
Updating? Run the newer Setup over the old one. Your servers live in your Documents folder and stay where they are.
Uninstalling? Windows Settings → Apps → Installed apps → MZForge → Uninstall. Your worlds and backups are left on your PC.
Missing WebView2? Install the free Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime, then open MZForge again.
MZForge-Setup.exeA Microsoft Store version is being prepared. Store apps are signed by Microsoft, so there's no unknown-publisher warning. A Store button will appear here only after Microsoft approves the listing.
Yes, completely. You don’t need an MZForge account.
Minecraft Java Edition. Bedrock (consoles, phones) isn't supported.
No. They just need Minecraft Java Edition and the address you send them.
Not on Paper or Purpur — MZForge connects Playit for you the first time you start. On Fabric and Vanilla you set up the public address yourself.
Paper (recommended), Purpur, Fabric and Vanilla. Forge and NeoForge are not available yet.
No. The server runs on your PC, so it's online while your PC and MZForge are running. With Multi-Host a friend's PC can take a turn hosting.
This beta isn't code-signed yet, so Windows doesn't know the publisher. Download only from mzforge.com and compare the SHA-256 shown above. The Microsoft Store version will be signed by Microsoft.
Never permanently. Deleting a server sends it to the Windows Recycle Bin. MZForge reminds you to open servers you haven't used for 30 days, and unused servers may be moved to the Recycle Bin so you can still get them back. Multi-Host servers are never cleaned up.
